SmPC Training Module – HLCM051 (MultiStem®)

This e-learning module was created to help users gain a clear understanding of the Summary of Product Characteristics (SmPC) for HLCM051 (MultiStem®). The project aimed to simplify complex regulatory and clinical information, transforming it into a structured, accessible digital learning experience for professional audiences.

E-learning slide explaining the Summary of Product Characteristics for HLCM051 (MultiStem®), outlining indications, dosing, safety, and clinical evidence.

The module emphasises clarity, accuracy, and usability. The content is structured into logical sections that guide learners through the key elements of the SmPC, enhancing comprehension without overwhelming them. A clean interface, consistent navigation, and well-timed interactions enable learners to focus on understanding the information rather than navigating the interface.

E-learning slide explaining indications, dosage, and administration of HLCM051, with interactive definitions for intravenous infusion and therapeutic window.

The module was designed from a UX perspective to balance information density with readability effectively. It employs visual hierarchy, progressive disclosure, and interactive elements to enhance user engagement while preserving the integrity of the source material. This approach is especially crucial in medical and pharmaceutical training, where precision and clarity are of utmost importance.

E-learning slide outlining safety and tolerability of HLCM051, including adverse events, immunogenicity, serious adverse events, and safety monitoring.

The module was developed using Articulate Storyline, allowing for controlled interactions, organised screen layouts, and flexible navigation. We focused on quality assurance to ensure consistency with the SmPC source content and adherence to best practices in digital medical education.

This project showcases my approach to developing medical e-learning: integrating strong user experience (UX) principles with thoughtful management of complex topics. The outcome is a learning module designed to enhance understanding, decrease cognitive load, and present regulatory information in a clear, learner-focused format.
